Yes! For those who pay income, wealth, or corporate taxes in France, donations to ASP are tax deductible under French law because of ASP’s status as a not-for-profit institution under French Association Loi 1901.
For US taxpayers, the American School of Paris Foundation is a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and all contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the US law.
Yes. ASP is grateful to the many corporations that support the School through generous matching gift programs. This kind of corporate support can double or triple the size of your gift. If you indicate your employer has a matching gift program, our Advancement Office will work with you and the HR office to determine if your gift qualifies.
Every gift—at every level—counts and inspires the generosity of others. Sharing a high rate of participation among our parents is encouraging to everyone inside and outside the ASP community. It shows faculty that parents support their work and it inspires other parents and alumni to join a successful initiative. When approaching corporations and foundations for support, it’s also helpful to show strong backing among our current families.
All donors are thanked and provided a gift receipt at the time their gift is made, and are recognized in our annual report. If you do not wish for your name to appear, please designate your gift as “anonymous”.
Yes, it is a common practice for independent schools to have an annual fund and ask for donations. The annual fund allows families to support their school, at a level they feel comfortable with, and provides a tax benefit.
We ask everyone in our community to help. Current parents, alumni, alumni parents, current and former faculty and staff, corporations and friends have consistently answered our call. ASP needs and wants everyone in its community to be a supporter of our school.
Generally, no.Gifts to the ASP Annual Fund provide a portion of the school's annual operating revenues and are unrestricted. This allows the Board of Trustees and ASP leadership team to identify and prioritize expenditures in a systematic and thoughtful manner, taking into account all of the school's needs. Each gift to the Annual Fund can be said to benefit every student and everything that makes ASP special.

Donations are accepted year-round. ASP’s fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30. Please note that we should receive your donation by June 1, in order to be sure to process it before the end of the fiscal year.
